MY STORY

After an education to an advertising expert Denis started his study at the „Institute for Visual Effects, Postproduction and Animation“ at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany in 1995, with focus on digital animation and visual effects.

He worked closly for Roman Polanski on „THE GHOSTWRITER“, Philipp Stölzl on “THE PHYSICIAN”, Phlipp Kadelbach on the International Emmy Award winning miniseries “GENERATION WAR” and Fatih Akin on the Golden Globe winning “IN THE FADE”.

He is recipient of ANIMAGO Awards for Best 2D/3D-Effects in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and has been nominated for the German Television Award 2008, 2018 and Adolf Grimme Award 2010 for Best Visual Effects.
In 2011 he received the German Television Award for the TV-Eventmovie “HINDENBURG”, as well the Award from the German Television Academy for “NAKED AMONG WOLFES” in 2015, “STARFIGHTER” in 2016 and “THE SAME SKY” in 2017.
2021 he won the German Motion Picture Academy Award for Best Visual Effects of “TIDES”.
